Rules / How to Play
Strip Poker is played based on any variety of the poker games; with the same number of players, betting and dealing rules, etc. The main aspect of strip poker is that it involves all of the players wearing the same number of articles of clothing to begin with.
Here are the basic poker rules in playing:
Instead of playing for cash or another reward, strip poker is playing for clothes. However, the game could start out with everyone playing with cash and then once you run out of cash, you could offer your articles of clothing in exchange.
Choice of Poker Game:
Generally, any variation of poker can be played, or any game at all, though usually simpler games with fewer betting rounds — such as five card draw or one of its variations — are used to keep the game simple. The choice of games should exclude games that rely on betting to work, as Strip Poker is not a betting game. Guts, Sweep, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card No Peek, 3-5-7, and variants are examples of betting games best avoided in a hand of Strip Poker. Two or None, Five Card Draw, Low Ball and similar one or no draw games are good Strip Poker games.
How Much Is Each Article Worth?
To insure fairness, all players should begin with the same number of articles. Five is generally a good number, counting pairs of shoes, or socks as one article. Before the game begins, players should agree to the value of different clothing items. For example, if a sock is worth one unit, is a shirt worth two? Similarly, is it possible for people to buy back clothes?
Losing and Winning:
Strip Poker is played until only one player has clothes left (and is therefore the winner or looser as the case may be). Players who have lost all their clothes generally are required to remain nude until the game has finished, leaving only one winner.
